As a Massachusetts Justice of the Peace, I keep my ceremony fees straightforward and transparent. Below you’ll find the cost of officiating your marriage, along with optional services for couples who would like additional planning, personalization, or rehearsal support. All fees are discussed and confirmed in writing in advance, so you’ll know exactly what to expect.
Marriage Ceremony
A simple and meaningful option for couples who would like an experienced Justice of the Peace to perform their ceremony using a polished standard script. I will solemnize your marriage, complete the marriage license, and return it to the appropriate city or town clerk. Couples who would like a personalized script, vow-writing support, special rituals, or rehearsal attendance may add those services described below.

Your Ceremony Fee Includes:
✔ Performance and legal solemnization of your marriage using a polished standard ceremony script
✔ Completion and return of your marriage license to the appropriate city or town clerk
✔ Time for brief photos or immediate post-ceremony moments
Optional Services
Ceremony Planning Conference
Create a ceremony that reflects your relationship, personality, and vision. This service includes two 60-minute planning sessions and a completed personalized ceremony script.
During the first session, we’ll discuss your story, preferred tone, ceremony structure, participants, readings, vow format, and other important details. The second session provides an opportunity to review and refine the ceremony before the final script is completed.
Rehearsal Attendance
I will attend your ceremony rehearsal and help guide everyone through the processional, positioning, ceremony transitions, and recessional. We’ll review important cues, address questions, and help each participant understand their role so everyone feels prepared and confident for the wedding day.
Individual Vow-Writing Support
A private 60-minute collaborative session designed to help you express your promises in your own voice. We’ll work through your ideas, structure, tone, and wording so you leave with polished personal vows that feel authentic, meaningful, and natural to deliver.
Incorporating a Special Ritual
Add a meaningful symbolic element—such as a unity candle, sand ceremony, or another tradition that reflects your relationship or heritage. I’ll help plan the ritual, incorporate it into your ceremony script, and guide it during the ceremony.
Pricing varies based on the complexity of the requested ritual. Couples are responsible for providing any required materials.
